What 'Granite Slabs Near Me' Should Actually Mean
When Palm Beach County homeowners search "granite slabs near me," they want to walk into a yard and pick the exact piece of stone that ends up on their counters. This is different from looking at samples (3"x3" tiles) in a showroom or scrolling through catalog photos online. The actual slab — 10 feet long, 5 feet wide, with veining that flows in specific directions and pools of color in specific locations — is what determines how your kitchen will look. Our Boynton Beach yard at 501 Industrial Ave is built around this principle: every granite slab we sell is on-site before sale, available to walk past, touch, photograph, and reserve. We don't sell granite from photos. We don't ship samples and ask you to commit. You see the slab, mark cut lines with chalk, and decide in person.
Standing Granite Inventory at Our Yard
We maintain 180-220 granite slabs at any given time, organized by tier and country of origin. Tier 1 commodity granites (always in stock): Uba Tuba (Brazilian dark green-black), Tan Brown (Indian brown speckled), Santa Cecilia Light (Brazilian gold-cream), Santa Cecilia Premium (deeper variant), Giallo Ornamental (Brazilian gold-pink), New Venetian Gold (Brazilian gold-burgundy), Black Pearl (Indian dark with silver flecks). Tier 2 mid-range (10-15 slabs each rotating): Volga Blue (Indian blue-green), Blue Pearl (Norwegian iridescent blue), Verde Butterfly (Brazilian green-black), Steel Gray (Brazilian neutral gray). Tier 3 premium (3-8 slabs each, rotating weekly): Sea Pearl (Indian iridescent green-gray), Cosmic Black (Indian black with mica flecks), Magma Gold (Brazilian gold-black drama), Typhoon Bordeaux (Brazilian burgundy-cream), Patagonia (Brazilian ribbon veining). Tier 4 exotic (1-3 slabs at a time): Blue Bahia (Brazilian deep azure), Cristallo Borealis quartzite (often grouped with exotic granite), Iron Red, Saturnia. The exotic tier rotates as we source from specific Brazilian quarries — what's here this month may be sold by the time you visit, so booking ahead matters.

How to Hand-Pick the Right Granite Slab
Plan 30-60 minutes for a thorough walk. Start with broad direction — if you've decided granite (vs quartzite or marble), narrow to color family (dark, light, gold, blue, green, exotic). Walk past slabs in that color family with your phone camera ready to mark candidates. Pull 3-5 favorites to consider closely. For each candidate, look at: (1) the overall color from 6 feet back, (2) the veining detail up close, (3) how the slab reads under our natural-daylight roll-up doors versus interior shop lighting, (4) whether the veining pattern will translate to your specific kitchen layout (we mark proposed cut lines with chalk so you can see exactly what's going on the counter). Bring your cabinet color samples or photos — granite that looks great in the yard can clash with the wrong cabinet finish. Bring backsplash tile if you've committed to one.
Reservation and Hold Policy
Once you've picked a slab, we reserve it for your project. Reservations require a deposit (typically 25-30% of the total project cost) and a signed contract. The slab gets a SOLD tag with your name and project number, and physically stays at our yard until templating is complete. We don't sell reserved slabs to anyone else regardless of price offers. For Palm Beach County clients who need extra decision time (couples coming separately, designers needing client approval), we hold slabs for 7 days with a refundable deposit. After 7 days, the slab returns to inventory and is available to other clients. This system ensures that what you see is what you get — no surprise substitutions on install day.

Beyond Granite — Other Materials at the Yard
While granite is our largest standing inventory, the same Boynton Beach yard also carries 80+ quartzite slabs, 40-60 marble slabs, 80-100 engineered quartz pieces, and 20-40 sintered stone slabs for outdoor and ultra-modern applications. Many Palm Beach County clients arrive committed to granite and end up choosing quartzite for the marble look with granite durability, or vice versa. The slab walk includes all materials by default — we don't pressure clients to stay within their initial material preference. View our material overview at the granite hub, quartzite hub, or browse our gallery for full inventory by material category.
